Appointments & scheduling

How do I schedule an appointment?
Call 301-627-3500 or request an appointment online. A request is not confirmed until the front desk contacts you. For the South Osborne office in Upper Marlboro, you can also call 301-952-8401.
What should I bring to my visit?
Bring a photo ID, your insurance card, an up-to-date list of medications and supplements, relevant records, and any questions you want to discuss.
Are telehealth visits available?
Telehealth is available across services when clinically appropriate and subject to medication-related requirements. The front desk will help determine whether an in-person or telehealth appointment is appropriate.

Locations & hours

What are your office hours?
All Meridian locations are open Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m., and closed Saturday and Sunday. After hours, call the same office number to reach the physician on call.
Which location should I choose?
Services and specialist schedules vary. Call the front desk, and our staff will help identify the appropriate location and appointment. See all addresses and directions on Locations & Hours.
Is every service available at every location?
No. Largo and Silver Spring offer Meridian’s applicable medical services, South Osborne in Upper Marlboro offers internal medicine, and Meridian Behavioral Health – Upper Marlboro offers behavioral health only. Call 301-627-3500 and the front desk will route you appropriately.
Is there one phone number for all locations?
Yes. Call 301-627-3500. The phone tree routes callers to Largo, Silver Spring, or Upper Marlboro. The South Osborne office also has a direct line, 301-952-8401. Our public fax number is 833-559-0865.
Which suite should I go to in Silver Spring?
Silver Spring is located at 1400 Forest Glen Road, Suites 210, 215, and 235, on the Holy Cross Hospital campus. Use the Physician Offices entrance. Suite 215 is our diagnostics suite for EKGs, ultrasounds and blood draws. Your appointment confirmation or the front desk will tell you which suite to visit.

After hours & urgent needs

How do I reach a doctor after hours?
After hours, call the same office number to reach the physician on call.
What should I do in an emergency?
If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department. For a mental-health or suicide crisis, call or text 988 for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.

Insurance & billing

Which insurance plans do you accept?
Meridian accepts most major insurance plans. Insurance participation varies by provider, so please contact our office to confirm coverage for your specific provider. See our insurance plan list.
What forms of payment do you accept?
Cash and major credit cards.
Who decides what my insurance covers?
Coverage decisions are made by your insurance plan. Check your plan documents or call your insurer for coverage questions.
Why did I receive more than one bill?
Some services, such as laboratory work processed by an outside laboratory, may be billed separately by that organization.
How do I pay my bill?
Use Pay Your Bill (opens in a new tab), or call 301-627-3500 for help. Have your statement or account number and the name of the patient on the account ready when you call.

Labs, tests & imaging

Do I need to fast before lab work?
Only if your clinician instructs you to. Some tests require fasting and others do not. Follow the instructions for your specific order.
How will I get my results?
Results are sent to your ordering clinician, who will explain how results are shared and whether follow-up is needed.
Do I need an order for imaging?
Yes. Imaging studies at Meridian are physician-ordered. Your clinician will place the order and explain why the study is recommended.

Behavioral health

Where are behavioral health visits held?
Can behavioral health coordinate with my primary care provider?
Yes. With your authorization, your behavioral health clinician can communicate with Meridian Primary Care when behavioral and physical health needs overlap.

Patient portal

Who can use the patient portal?
The Patient Portal provides secure access for established Meridian patients. Please do not send urgent requests through the portal or by email — call 301-627-3500, or 911 in an emergency.
