Dr. Albert E. Takem is the founder of Meridian Medical Group and a physician board certified in Internal Medicine and Obesity Medicine. He provides comprehensive primary care and medical weight-management services within Meridian’s coordinated care model.
Education & Clinical Experience
Born and raised in Cameroon, Dr. Takem moved to Italy in 1997 to study medicine at the University of Bologna, where he graduated summa cum laude. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center in New York and has since cared for patients in both hospital and outpatient settings throughout the Washington metropolitan area.
